Airport Baggage Amazement!

When we went to pick up Andrea, our niece, at the airport last Tuesday we met her in Baggage Claim for Southwest Airlines.  On the schedule, there were SW flights arriving every 10 minutes.  We thought that it would be absolute chaos getting her bag.  We were just amazed that every 10 minutes baggage from a flight was on the 'turntable' and all the people were gone in about 6 minutes!!! Can you believe that?  It was the same when we awaited Andrea's bag - less than 5 minutes and we were out of there.  Great job Southwest!!!

Andrea's Visit

Our darling niece, Andrea, has been visiting us since Tuesday morning.  She is 24 and lives in Chicago and works in banking.  She is the daughter of John's younger brother, Russell.  We have not seen her since she was 6 years old.  She is fun, intelligent, and a truly lovely person.  We have had a great time with her.  It is sad that she leaves tomorrow afternoon; we will miss her very much.

Our Favorite Time of Year

For the first time ever, we are filing our taxes just in time.  I sent everything to our CPA at the end of February and, usually, he would have everything done and back to us in 2 - 3 weeks.  However, it all arrived yesterday.  He had heart issues and is taking it much easier (which is what he needs to do); it did make for a bit of anxiety on our part but...all is well!  Hope you all have your taxes done and can let out a sigh of relief.

Marcelle

She is so funny.  She loves everything about life. She adores all animals (she will love our new dog, Thumper).  She is becoming a 'writer', as you can see.  She calls Pop and Gramma on the phone and... we LOVE that!!!  She loves girlie things - dresses and pretty hair and nail polish (although it's gone very soon after it's applied).  She is adorable.  Misha and Marcelle will visit us at the beginning of August - we can hardly wait!!

Bekah and Roxie

Bekah, our granddaughter, is fifteen years old.  She is beautiful, tall (like her mum), an incredible artist and writer, and has a really fun sense of humor.  Roxie is almost 12 years old.  She is pretty, funny, creative, silly, and has a beautiful singing voice.  We miss having them around so much.
We used to see them every week and they would spend a weekend with us almost every month; they also stayed for weeks at a time when Danny and Krista were away on vacation or mission trips.  The most difficult part of them being in the Czech Republic is how much we miss being able to spend time with them.  We miss them all so much.
