Great Doctors!

I am blessed with an awesome Primary (Family) Care Physician. He is my age and has a similar sense of humor although I don't think he usually laughs very often. I am able to make him laugh several times, at least, during an appointment with him. He is extremely thorough, cares what is going on with me, and makes sure I ask everything I have written on 'my list'. Yes, I go with a list (we all should) or I would forget my questions; he encourages me to do so. I am pleased that he was still accepting new patients when I first started with him - he no longer is. Everything went well at my annual physical.

Yuck!

It's that time of year, again. Annual Physical early this morning - not my favorite thing to do. My physician, however, is very nice so it won't be too bad, I hope. Got to get going -- shower, etc... See you next week.

Have a lovely weekend!

Hair

Been saving for 6 months; time to get the highlights redone. Looking forward to it as my 'roots' are about 3 or 4 inches. With the grey it isn't so obvious and 'roots' seem to be in as well. Nice to go and see Liz and chat with her. She's a Christian a few years older than Krista. Always fun as well as God-centered conversation. So, by early afternoon I will be looking a whole lot better.

Red Tails

George Lucas has another film out title 'Red Tails'; the story of African American flyers during World War II. They made an enormous contribution to the Allied Forces' victory. I realize that 'dog fights', in the cartoon, refer to WWI but I couldn't find anything appropriate about WW II. Cute though. Looking forward to watching the movie on DirecTv when it's on Pay-Per-View. Can't go to the theater anymore as it makes me too dizzy. If some of you get to see it please let me know what you think.

Old Movies

Just LOVE old horror films. Anything starring Boris Karloff or Christopher Lee and I'm there. One of the best, of course, is the original Frankenstein starring Boris. What a great film - love it! Other favorites he starred in are any of his 'Mummy' films. Awesome! Try and catch them on television. Fun and frightening without the gore of today. A real treat.

Please Stop!

I am soooooo sick of the primaries already. The election is a little over 9 months away and I am sick of all of it. We need to stop all this lengthy election process and get down to something reasonable - like, perhaps, under 2 months. I have actually stopped watching any of the coverage, debates, etc... I will pick it up again late next summer. Enough is enough!

Cooking Is Fun!

Little Marcelle really seems to enjoy all that goes along with cooking. She has her own little kitchen plus she loves to play with the 'real' stuff too. The toaster oven is real but no longer works and... is not plugged in. All together this spells an awful lot of fun for our little cutie.

Bear - Bull

Who really understands the stock market? Lots of people claim they do but in the end they are usually wrong. They make all kinds of predictions, mostly to scare people. The political atmosphere seems to have people buying/selling -- ever changing. You can't figure out why people buy or sell; pay attention for one or two weeks and it never really makes any sense. It is volatile, for sure. A mystery!

Coffee Cups

John is a coffee aficionado. He drinks many cups per day; he can even drink right before bedtime and fall right to sleep. We have so many nice and fun coffee cups/mugs in our kitchen cabinet. My only one is a 'Snoopy' one, all the others are John's. He actually collects them. His favorites are Starbucks coffee mugs.

Silliness Continues

We went to see Flo, my mother-in-law, and Simon, my brother-in-law, on Christmas Day. We had a nice lunch and also gave them their gifts. We had been in a week and a half before to decorate their rooms. We had a great time with them. They even wanted to take a silly photo, as we had done the night before. Such fun!!

See you Monday! Have an awesome weekend.

Christmas Cheer

Just having fun on Christmas Eve. No "cheer" in the bottles, just props. We had a great Christmas with friends -- yummy food, wonderful company. Also watched "Mr. Popper's Penguins" starring Jim Carrey --- hilarious!
