Goodbye Blog!!!

After five years of blogging, I have decided that this is the last post I will make.  It has been fun but sometimes difficult for me to do.  I went from every weekday to several times a week to twice a week and, finally, to once a week and now to...no times a week.

Spring Forward!

Love this time of year when we get to set our clocks ahead one hour; the sunset is later - more daylight to enjoy.  Our state, New Mexico, is in the process of trying to stay on Daylight Savings Time all year long - like our neighbor, and former home, Arizona.  I hope it goes through - would be so nice.

Busy Week

Happy President's Day! And for those of you 'into' Chinese New Year- Happy Chinese New Year and the Year of the Lamb.

Have somehow hurt my right foot - all the muscles on the instep and arch are extremely painful.  It almost feels like I have a double charlie horse on the top and the bottom of the foot.  Linament and Aleve do not work; will be trying heat today to see if I can relax the muscles.  I am using my father's cane to get around; thank you, Daddy.

Snowing, Again!

Saturday morning we had snow, again.  The flakes were the size of quarters to half-dollars.  Really fun.  Unfortunately, it didn't stay but it was fun to watch.  By the end of this week our temperature will be in the mid-60 s - wow!

A great man: wise, peaceful, and God-fearing.  He would be unhappy with the violence that has been going on in the last six month.

Skating Memories!

This is the top of Mont Royal in Montréal.  When I was  young, my mother would take me there to skate.  After we would go in the chalet and have hot chocolate together. One of the best memories I have of time with her.  This photo was taken by my cousin, Janet, who is visiting there right now.  Wonderful, amazing times had at Mont Royal.

Winter Wonderland!

In 7.5 years, living here, we have never had so much snow at one time.  We thought it was only 5 inches but it turns out it was almost 8!!  The top photo shows our house early Saturday morning.  The second is our 'Hydrognome' across the street - cute, isn't he?  While the heavy snow was falling (started Friday evening) several kids from our block had out their ATV and were going up and down the hill (we live near the top) and having a blast; they were also making a large snowman by rolling the snow down the hill.  They certainly took full advantage of a very rare occurrence - good for them!!!  Our little Petite Corgy/Chihuahua mix went out first thing Saturday to do her 'business' - when she stepped off the patio the snow was so high (up to her tummy) that she stepped back onto the patio and 'went' on the patio - she then found out there was a little trail that was not as deep right against the house.  She then went exploring in the snow.  Fun weekend!
