So far everyone is blaming the Republicans for holding up the Budget Bill but, in truth, everyone is to blame: Republicans, Democrats, and the President.  The President says the Republicans will not compromise but he refused to give on anything as well; ditto the Democrats.  So, here we are -- AGAIN.

When you have watched TV as long as I have - 61 years - you get to see a lot of entertainers age - or not, depending on who has had plastic surgery.  There are some who have had so much 'done' they are barely recognizable (meaning they need close captioning under them so you know who they are).  Then, thank God, there are those who have chose to grow older gracefully, as God intended.  Good for them!

Nap Time

Thumper, our sweet little girl, arrived with only one item:  this huge stuffed dog from Toys R Us that she takes naps on all the time.  She chews on all her toys but not this one or the soft bed, in her kennel, she sleeps on at night.  She is a real cutie!

This is my great-niece, Sky Cowans.  She is a Sophomore in college and is one of the anchors at her university's radio station.  Her great-grandfather, my dad, and her 2nd cousin, my daughter - Misha, are proud.  She comes by this talent/gift honestly. We are all proud of you, Sky.

Birthdays!

Alan and Marcelle's birthdays are only a week apart so, each year on Labor Day Weekend, they have a big party for both of them.  We were lucky enough to be there for the party last year; we had such fun and it was great seeing all of Alan, Misha, and Marcelle's friends and celebrating with them.  This photo was taken this past weekend - it was Marcelle's 4th birthday and...I won't give away Alan's age!!
