CRAZY!

The cool down, they promised, never happened and is not going to happen in the next week or so -- if then. We have been in the 80's or high 70's all week. We should be in the nice Spring 60's. I went from very heavy Winter clothes to summer in less than a week - Crazy!!!!

Hope you are all have a wonderful Spring. Enjoy your weekend.

Wind Damage

About ten days ago we had high winds with gusts to 70 mph. Some fencing, in two areas, came down which John repaired while the wind still howled. Insurance people came out and, in addition to the two fence areas, he found small damage on our roof (no big deal) and the entire roof of our sun room needs replacing. So, we will receive money, less deductible, to repair it all. So, next step is to call our contractor to get a quote on each item and hope the money we receive will cover it all. One of the fencing areas is shared with a neighbor so that will be split 50/50. Here's hoping we can get it all fixed.

Are You Kidding Me?

Yikes! It is in the 80's. About 20 degrees higher than the usual for this time of year. We had snow 2 weeks ago. This is crazy - no spring. It will be just a bit (4 degrees or so) cooler over the week. I was wearing heavy sweaters just a few days ago - don't even have my spring or summer clothes in my closet yet. A neighbor was running air conditioning yesterday. Hope it cools down into the 60's where it belongs.

Daddy And His Little Girl

What an awesome photo of Alan and little Marcelle - on vacation in Mexico. Alan is a great dad and loves his little one with all his heart. She is a lucky little girl, indeed. Marcelle is growing like a weed and her vocabulary expands, exponentially, daily. Smart as a whip with more energy than I ever remember having myself. We miss them all so much.

Have a super, duper weekend!

?????????????

Over the last 15 months I have been in a rehabilitation program for the disabled. I have been very blessed to have been learning to be a Job Developer helping others with disabilities try to get back into the workforce. Although very challenging, it is a very rewarding experience. This time is ending the first week of May and there will be no further time to learn. We have discovered that I am able to work, outside the home, about 8 hours on a bad week of vertigo and up to 12 hours -- most of the time it is about 10 hours. We had hoped to expand this time but it has not happened. The chances of finding me a job for this amount of hours is very limited if at all possible. We are working on some ideas to, hopefully, find a way to make a few dollars a month. If any of our ideas pan out it would certainly take some stress off John who is currently working a full time job plus 5 or 6 part-time ones. It would be nice to be able to take some of the stress off of him. I will keep you posted. Pray for a clear solution - thank you.

War Room

It seems like the President and the Republican Presidential nominees have been at if forever. I am sick of it already and we have until November to deal with it. They are all and working on their strategies - who cares anymore. I know the election is important - every one is - but, come on, this is way too long. Yikes! I really think we should adopt a much shorter period of time to deal with these primaries and then the election process. People are so numb by the time we get to the actual election I'm not really sure they remember who is who and what they stand for and...

All Day Meetings

I spend a lot of time with Simon, John's brother. I take him to all his doctor and dental appointments, etc... Today we will be spending most of the day together as we are trying to get him enrolled in a special program in Albuquerque. Some of his friends, where he lives, already belong and are very happy with it. If he gets in, he would have all his doctors there, his prescriptions would be filled there, they would pick him up and take him there a couple of times a week, just like his friends, to go there for a fun day together. There have already been three meetings with them and now there is today plus two more before the end of the month. We should know by the end of March if they have accepted him. So, wish us luck!

Lawyer Joke

What is it about lawyer jokes that make me laugh so hard? Right now, I really think, it's because 4 lawyers have tried to tackle my Long Term Disability case and failed. I guess I blame them for not being able to handle this huge insurance company who has refused me benefits. Hey, what are you going to do? Right? That's life!

Sisters

I love this photos of the girls. Sisters having fun. I hope that it is always like this for the two of them. They will always have each other; it is very important that they remember that. Love, fun, confiding in one another - that's what sisters are all about.

Rebekah

She's 14 years old and looks so much like her mother at that age. We have not seen her, in person, since June of 2009, almost 3 years. She has grown up so much. She is doing so well in school - a real achiever. She's a little 'crazy' (we love that part of her), artistically creative, intelligent, and funny... don't forget: beautiful. We miss her, her sister, and parents so much.

Danny and His Girls

We have been waiting almost 3 years for new photos of the Coyan Clan. Here is Roxie (10 1/2) with daddy, Danny, and Bekah (14). I can't believe how grown up the girls are. We see them on Skype, of course, but being able to 'study' a photo of them really shows how much they have changed. We haven't actually 'seen' them since the summer of 2009. I will post a couple more, I have access to, on Friday and Monday. Krista decided to post three photos, none of her -- but I will eventually have one, or more, of her to post as well.

To Tell Or Not To Tell, That Is The Question

So, here's the question. Is it wrong to 'squeal' on someone or a company. We have been raised, primarily, not to 'rat' on people. On the other hand, we have been taught to tell the truth about everything (which no one does) and if we know something that someone is doing and it is dangerous to them or someone else we have to 'tell'. Wow! Pressure! It is a problem. Overall I think, if any harm to anyone is involved we should tell. That's just me.
