Just wondering... Why don't employers check the references, etc... of their potential new employees before they hire them. I really don't get it. Why would you wait until he/she has been hired before you start the background check. I realize that this can take some time but that can be overcome by good planning; like interviewing, etc... well before the person is needed. It is always a 'real mess' when you have to terminate an employee, who just began working for you, because of lies, or whatever, on their résumé. Just thinking.
