Hair Cut

Why is it so difficult to find someone to cut hair properly. I don't remember ever having this much of a problem. Since moving to NM I have had several stylists and none of them has actually given me the hair cut I want. I always either have to go back a week or so later to have it fixed or I have to fix it myself. This may seem a minor issue but to me it's not as my hair is very short and every little mistake shows. The thing that is so difficult is that they have all been really nice and have tried so hard. What I'm asking for is really not that hard as I have been getting pretty much the same style, with a few tweaks, for years. Oh well, I may have to settle - living outside a small town does have its advantages but it obviously has some disadvantages as well.

Laundry Day

Wednesday is laundry day around here. Change out the towels in the bathrooms, sort the whites and darks, etc... I really don't mind doing the laundry; having vertigo does make for a few problems though. I have to be very careful putting in and taking out clothing from the dryer. If I am not really careful it makes the vertigo a lot worse. So, I have learned to do it with great caution. Sometimes I am not able to, if my day is not going well, but most of the time I just do it in my own "Dizzy Dame" fashion.

Changes

Babies go through so many changes so quickly. Our youngest granddaughter is now a toddler - walking triumphantly around the house. She also says a variety of things, our favorite being: "All done!" This is such a fascinating time in a child's life. They are so inquisitive and learn so quickly you can barely keep up with them. We are sad that we cannot be there to see all the changes for ourselves but "Thank God for Skype!"

Dr. Seuss

We had so many of the Dr. Seuss books when our girls were young and then, of course, when our two oldest granddaughters came along. Haven't had any around for a long time but I guess we are going to have the fun of getting some again to read to our darling little Marcelle when she comes to visit us. Love the books - they are so funny and clever and kids love them.

Storm A Brewin'

The above photo was taken by John almost exactly two years ago. It was taken from our front porch looking south. This is an amazing photo of a supercell. It caused an enormous amount of damage to Belen, the town south of us.

Downloads

I know all about iTune downloads as John is always adding to our list of songs we like to play but I am a little skeptical about all the other "free" downloads. Who knows where they come from and what they might bring with them to our computer. I, as you can tell, am not nor have ever been a huge risk-taker. There are some exceptions to that but overall I am pretty careful. It was years before I indulged in online banking and purchasing; I do both now quite regularly. Anyway, just be careful what you download.
Have a great weekend!!!
